Your First Time Home Buyer Journey

First off, congratulations on deciding to take the initial step towards buying your first home – this is a big deal! Becoming a homeowner is truly one of the most exciting milestones in life. It can also feel daunting and downright scary trying to navigate this complex process on your own.

That’s where I come in. With 18 years of experience as a Realtor for first time home buyers in the Denver metro area, I’m here to break down the process in a way that’s easy to understand, guide you every step of the way from start to closing, and share invaluable resources to ensure you have a positive experience.

My goal is to make sure you feel confident, informed, and supported as we work together to find “the one” for you.

Let’s meet over coffee or Zoom to talk and see if we’d be a fit to work together. I’m intersted to hear some basic things like what’s motivating you? What’s your timeline? What areas interest you?

I’m here to explain the process to you from A to Z.  There are lots of moving parts when it comes to buying a home so consider me a resource to get your questions answered.

Go through the pre-approval process with a trusted mortgage lender to determine your budget before we start looking at houses. I have trusted, local lenders I can refer you to with access to all the available programs for first time buyers.

search

I’ll set you up on a personalized search through REolorado (MLS) for access to the most up-to-date listings. We’ll work within your availability – whether days, evening, or weekends, to go look at the houses you’re interested in seeing.

execute

When we find a property you love, we’ll submit an offer. Once the seller accepts your offer, we’ll go “under contract”. We’ll then flow through the process of home inspection, appraisal, final underwriting, and closing. You’ll have lots of questions pop up along the way – I’m here as your guide to answer them as they come.

I walk each property with you, point out things you might miss – including red flags – answer questions in real time, and help you think through how a home fits your lifestyle and budget. I’m completely honest with you, so you can feel comfortable being completely honest with me.
